How many baitstations, how far apart?

I recently PMed Supersider and he thought I had too many bait stations, too close toghther.
I currently have 3 baitstations about 1/4 mile apart each.
Not wanting to second guess an old pro like supersider, what is the opinion of you other experianced, successful pros?

How many baitstations, how far apart?

I am by far a old pro. I am still learning.
I have a bait site and have pics of 12-13 different bears from my trail cam. Some came and went. So do you think having sites that close together is a benefit? They will come to them but if you are the only one hunting them then you might get lucky and have it come to the one you are sitting on. Its just you want them interested in 1 bait site to keep them coming to that one site. Not have his choice of 3 to go to. It just cuts down the odds of having the bear stay on one and not to give it the better odds of feeding somewhere you are not.
If you had 3 bait sites and 3 of you are going to sit them at the same time then it will be good.
My friend has a bait site he tried this year that was a drainage away from mine and had some of my bears over there on his. So he is going to stop baiitng in there. My site has been baited for 2 yrs now and plan on keep baiting there.

Supersider,
I hope you see my point , You have pictures of yourself with Proof on your hands, and bear heads proudly(and ritefully) displayed for the camera, and this is my FIRST year.LOL
You are an "Old Pro" in my book. Congrats

I have 1-2 friends that may end up here hunting as well.
My theroy is that I can get them interested in 3 sights, if they are not heavily baited(remember I am only 6 miles from home baiting, so I can go there daily) I can have whatever bears traveling to all three stations daily in order to fill up, and I THINK it would improve my odds as they will not fill -up at one station, but rather have to travel to 3 sites to get a "GOOD" meal.
Remember, I am new at this, and I am trying this. Does anybody else have any theroies on different methods.
If I have 1 or 2 stations getting hit more than others, I will probabally quit 1-2 baitstations.
Thanks for your input.
