I drew a moose tag in Idaho this year. The season has been open for a week and I have seen 4 bulls so far. The first I would have taken if I could have gotten a clean shot at it but the rest looked a little small. However they were quite distance and I'm not sure exactly how big they were. My question is: Does anyone have a basic way of judging the width when in the field? This tag is a once in a life time tag so I am trying to be selective. The success rate the last 3 years has been 98% so I don't feel stressed about passing anything up, YET.
