Did some coon doggin' a long time ago with some buddies. Lots of fun.
Just last year we started calling for coons at midday, with some success.
Going to try more of it this year. Find what might look like a good den tree, set
up fairly close, do some coon calls, and wait for one to come out of den to
investigate. Helps having a buddy along to do the shootin' while you do
the calling or vice versa.
We all spend our time at the range, making sure our rifle is shooting just right. We get it dialed in, and then we head to the woods, ready to shoot our animal. Well, what happens if the animal comes out where you do not expect it? Will you be able to make the shot?
