How did your hunt turn out this year?

Lots of coyotes around, maybe they are more active now because of more than normal competition Think

Been debating between the 223 and 243. for coyote. Really want the 223 setup, but my son will be hunting in the near future and think the 243 would allow us to do both. Maybe I'll just get both Big smile

Only bad thing about crow hunting is the sound gets annoying after about 5 minutes.

I was all set to get a .223 for target practice and shooting coyotes and other varmints when a friend suggested the .243 because I could hunt varmints and antelope and deer.

I just picked it up tonight. Got a remington 700 VLS (I think that is the model). It has a laminated stock, heavy 26" barrel. I can't wait until saturday so I can shoot it.

That's probably the route I will take also. Little more vesatile. Remington would be my choice also. Let me know how you like it.
You're close enough we ought to try and go out on the Res. for those yotes.

Such a depressing day. We were doing a small finger push with 3 blocker and 1 pusher, and I have a perfect 10(easily could have scored 150+) stand 5 feet in front of me. He then proceded to run up the hill 10 yards jump the fence then present me with a broadside shot for 10 seconds knowing I couldn't touch him.

Cooked up some the ground doe I've got in the freezer. Food just seems to taste better when you harvest it yourself.

No big buck this year, but it was a successful year since I've got meat in the freezer.
