Has anyone else read the story in Bear Hunting Magazine called "Hound Killers? Its about the wolfes in the western states. It seams there is a real problem with the wolves attacking hunters hounds. At first it was only the lion hunters that were having problems because when the lions are hunted the prey species are gathered into wintering "yards" and the wolves, lions and bobcats all hunt there so when the hounds are cast they were literally throwing the hounds to the wolves but now as of this spring the wolves attacked and killed hounds that were hunting bears. There were pictures and the hunters called the game commision there and got it all documented. I heard this from the guide in Idaho that I am planning to huunt with next spring when I asked if I could bring a friend that would only go if he could bring his hounds. The outfitters response was that he would not want anyone to bring thier hounds "because of the wolfe problem we have here" I guess it is that bad!
