Horse Back Riding

Okay try not to laugh. We have around a 4.5hr horse back ride into where our camp is and the boys and I are not horse riders. In fact the last time was about 10 years ago, went on a trail ride for 1-2 hrs and could hardly walk the next day. Is there something beside going out and riding a horse before we get there that will help? I've been told of a couple but not sure if it's true. So I wanted to see what everybody had to say.

Horse Back Riding

doublej, I'm not sure if there is an activity that will simulate horse back riding. I ride alot as we rope steers about every nitght in the summer time and every once in a while while riding a colt or a green horse it will buck around alittle and I even find different mussles that I wasn't sure I had.
My only advise it to stretch out good before you get on and every time you stop for a break get off and stretch somemore. Good luck and happy hunting.
