Hog Hunting In Oklahoma

I'm in KS and got an urge to hunt some hogs after deer season.

Anyone recommend a good place in OK to hunt?

How big of a ranch is it? I've read good things about it.

We're now offering hog hunts in OK. 3,000 acres all private any legal weapon.

Shiloh is a very good ranch. It is mostly bow hunting if that's what your loking for.

We offer either bow or firearm hog hunts in OK. I see where Matt at Shiloh is also offering some limited firearm hunts now too. Shiloh is a high fenced hunt I believe but don't hold me to that. Matt's hog hunts at Shiloh as well as our Oklahoma hog hunts are both really good hunts and either way you would get a very good hog hunt. Our 3,000+ acre ranch has never been hunted for hogs so it has some exceptional hogs on it. If your interested in hearing more about our hunts you can call me toll free 1-877-647-9926 or email me.

Hog Hunting In Oklahoma

I live in Wichita, KS and we have feral hogs now. However the way to get them is to get a written permission from the SAID landowner then file it with the KS Livestock Comissioner then ask for a permit from the Comissioner. He has told me himself that his goal is to prevent hog hunting in KS. I had to tell him that I have heard of illegal hog hunting going on in KS. He knows about it. I wish they would change their laws. They change hunting laws every year so that might change. I know of a herd of feral pigs...not the russian type or the razor back types...about 20 minutes away from me. Seems a farmer got fed up with hog prices and let his hogs loose. They're roaming in an area where there are 5-10 acre ranchettes and they're near the Flint Hills Golf Course from what I understand. I even went out to investigate but being deaf and not wanting to have to communicate via paper and pen...I just surveyed the said area and left. Apparently developers are building into what used to be a huge farm.

Shiloh Ranch

Shiloh Ranch isnt a bad place to hunt if you like hunting at a fenced in petting zoo. No matter what you plan on using to kill one of their hogs or any other of their animals that Matt has on the ranch, they'll walk right up on your heels. These animals are so use to humans feeding them that they expect you to rub them on their head too. This is not a hunt. It's just a place to kill. Also the butcher that he firmly suggest his clients to use take the prime cuts of meat and leave you the scraps and you wont realize this until after you bring it home and unwrap the package before you cook it up. The only thing that Shiloh Ranch has to offer is a glorified canned hunt and nothing else!!!![/b]

Take note this is TrapNHunt's only post on this whole site. Seems his only purpose here is to smear the Shiloh Ranch.
You've never been to the Shiloh Ranch, have you? I've been there twice.
The hogs are FAR from tame so I seriously doubt you've been there. They are wild hogs from the area, not "ZOO hogs".
As a matter of fact, hogs don't get any more jumpy than the hogs at the Shiloh Ranch. They certainly know they are being hunted, moreso than a wild hog I imagine. The 250-300+ pounders are extremely difficult to get close to.
The hogs are wild as can be. You sure ain't going to see ANY hog on that 400 acre ranch "walk right up on your heels". No Way. They wind you, and they are gone into the thick cover with a quickness.
Sounds like you are talking about exotic sheep, which are pretty dumb no matter where you go IMO.
It appears TrapNHunt has something personal against the folks at Shiloh. Lost revenue to the competition perhaps? Likely so. You mentioned Matt by name. Why don't you grow a pair, and tell us YOUR name?
Shiloh ranch has the best reviews of any fenced operation I have seen (I looked into it quite a bit before going). Thumbs up

Packsaddle WMA has decent population. I haven't been much further east in Oklahoma, but I presume some of the larger WMAs attached to reservoirs would also have pigs.
