hog hunting with my girlfriend

took my girlfirend on her first hog hunt on wednesday august 2. we found a little rooting and that was fairly fresh cause i would have went right by it if the dogs hadn't hit on it. and turned them loose about 8 am. we ran the hog till about 2 pm bayed it 3 times it somehow managed to break free and get away 3 times about the time i'd get there except the first time and it got free as i was fixing to leg it. but the fourth time it bayed i turned a catch dog in on it and got it caught and talked her through stickin it with my kabar knife!!

That must have been a fun hunt! Looks like there is quite a bit of european blood in that hog.

I met her and I seriously doubt if she would say that. She seemed very nice to me and Brenda.....In fact when I took the pic of the pup when I got there, Candie(sp?) was in the background and she had the same exact smile as in this picture.....

she wouldn't say that not that i plan on giving her a reason to say it! she's an awsome girlfriend all a man who loves to hunt could ask for! unlike most women she dosen't ask to go out to eat and rarely asks to go shopping anywhere becides walmart! most of the time if she asks me to go somewhere it's hunting. i figure i've found a one in a million and her willingness to wade into the mess of dogs and hog and stick the hog just makes her that much better to me! becides she's got connections to some great western big game hunting Big smile

Girlfriend's hog

She's a real pretty lady and stickin that pig certainly put a nice smile on her face too. Bet plenty of other guy are damn jealous of you now.
