hey guys. i am farely new to this. i was just kind of wondering what the best baits/scents/attractants to use. i would prefer to make it at home. i hear some of the store bought stuff doesn't work well. any info will help. thanks

I tried a number of scents and never had any luck. If feeders are allowed, I think that is the best way to go.

I have even tried calls with limited success.

Fill a bucket half full of corn and half water put lid on and let sit for a week. Take off lid and dump where you want um.

For feral hogs, just use left over food and dump it near a deer feader that's been working for a while. The raccoons may get it first, but if the area is hot with hogs, you'll be money. Blacktailer also had a great idea.

I usually do the spot and stalk approach... drive around or hike around until I find them. Of course, I like this style for pretty much everyhting I hunt. It's extremely more difficult than blind hunting in my area, but it sure makes a good kill worth it for me. Yes
