hey guys. i am farely new to this. i was just kind of wondering what the best baits/scents/attractants to use. i would prefer to make it at home. i hear some of the store bought stuff doesn't work well. any info will help. thanks
For feral hogs, just use left over food and dump it near a deer feader that's been working for a while. The raccoons may get it first, but if the area is hot with hogs, you'll be money. Blacktailer also had a great idea.
I usually do the spot and stalk approach... drive around or hike around until I find them. Of course, I like this style for pretty much everyhting I hunt. It's extremely more difficult than blind hunting in my area, but it sure makes a good kill worth it for me.
I have learned quite a bit over the past few years turkey hunting and the majority of it was how to get that tom within range. Every article you read is littered with talk of fighting purrs, flydown cackles and clucks.
