help with gun

I bought a used gun in good shape except for a rust spot about 2 inches long on the inside of the barrel any suggestions on a way to get rid of this at home?
I had put this on another part of forum but got no answers hopefully I might get some here. Thanks

What kind of "gun" are we talking here ? Rifle, handgun ? What make and model I don't beleive there is anyhting you can do to repair the inside of a barrel. Surface rust could be removed with a good cleaning. I'd use WD40 first, followed by gun solvent.
With more info, members can be of more assistance to you, hopefully.

Bet ya got a new barrel. If it was at the end of the barrel and it was at least 18" long (16" legal limit), you could cut and recrown.
