For you guys that get the Sportsman Channel take a look at the show "Fresh Tracks" that Randy Newberg does. It used to be called "On Your Own Adventures" and is strictly DIY on public land with many shows comig up with no animal taken, which is reality many times. Randy is a good guy and is on the Board of RMEF and also has his own website that is great and it's under the old name of his show or just simply "HuntTalk".

I 2nd this post. Randy is the real deal. I hope his health continues to improve. (btw) I liked OYOA better than his new gig, but his health may have hampered it's success.

OYOA

I have watched the On Your Own Adventure episodes on Carbon TV and it is probably my favorite hunting show. I like that it shows hunts that I could someday do, myself.

While there may be some entertainment value in watching the jet set hunting crowd, debatable, I'd much rather watch someone that's doing a hunt that I can likely afford and do.

Randy has a good show, but if

Randy has a good show, but if I had to pick my favorite it would be Sasquatch.

Mainly, because he uses traditional mountain man era hunting gear like I do.

It's one thing to do a DIY hunts on public land with modern hunting gear like Randy, and another to do it in a primitive way.

I really like Steven Rinella.

I really like Steven Rinella. MeatEater is a decent show, but his last show, The Wild Within, was flat out awesome.
