Figured alot of us may not be near the computer tomorrow, so I just wanted to tell everyone to have a happy and safe Thanksgiving!!!! Hopefully you will all find time to get into the woods, and then spend some quality time with the family!!!!
Happy thanksgiving to the BGH community! I ate 6 pieces of pie... and only one of them was a duplicate. I have to say... the pecan was the best. I feel like I gained 25 pounds today. I don't know why I do it to myself every thanksgiving but the food is just too darn good. I got to play pool with my grandpa too that I don't get to see very much and it was awesome. He schooled me pretty hard core. He was quite the hunter back in his day and I love swapping hunting stories with him. His story bank is never ending.
The pie sounds good. I had lasagna today and pie. We will do thanksgiving again on Sunday and it will be the traditional one with turkey and ham and I hope pies.
Gotta watch them old timers, they still have a few tricks up their sleeves. I remember the movie the Color of Money. Paul Newman was an old timer pool player that taught Tom Cruise the game. They ended up playing against one another and Newman said, "remember I taught you everything you know, but not everything I know."
In the winter months, when the tempurature drops well below freezing, it gets harder to stay warm enough to be comfortable. Yes, wool socks are better than cotton but; battery powered heated socks are even better. And yet our feet end up cold at some point anyways.
