Traitor. Anybody that changes party affiliation is a traitor to the party and people that put them in office.

I felt the same way about Ken Salazar when he betrayed us here in Colorado.

Didn't realize Salazar had ever been a Republican? Thought he was a 5th gen Coloradan who was a Dem, lots of ranchers like that.

In any case I'd think Specter is an American, his statement makes good reading. Specter is more of a freind of the middle class than the wealthy, often wondered why he had an R up front of his name.

I expect there might be some more. I'm kind of thinking Charlie Crist in Florida to switch and run for the senate. Nice guy, likes his constituents, honest, all the trapings of a Dem.

Here's the statement.

I see Obama celebrated by sending Air Force One up to terrorize new York.

By golly pangocat, finally something we agree on.
I voted for this loser and he is about as honest as the driven Florida snow.
We were talking today after hearing the Specter story and Crist jumping ship was the first thing mentioned. I do fully expect that he will run (D) for Senate as I don't think he'll ever get re elected as Gov. especially As (R).

Crists approve / disaprove w Republicans is at 65/25 even higher with Dems. He sticks up for blue collar, longer hours for poll opening, supported Obama for stimulous, doesn't rant incomprehensible giberish, he can pretty much do as he likes in Florida. Most working class folks have BS meter that has been fine tuned for a few years.

I just hope Republicans say enough nasty things to him. He beats a generic Dem for senate handily, 2/1. I'd rather he stays Republican, easier to rebuild a party than to start a new one, there need to be some sane folks left standing.

I doubt Snow will jump ship, still hard to tell, so few moderates left that folks tend to lose in the primaries, party ID is down to around 20%, and that's before Specter.

Good try Expatriate, are you sure he didn't have something to do with swine flu and 9/11 too?

Let me get this straight, Pogo -- are you trying to claim that the White House wasn't involved in the Scare Force One debacle?

If you are, that brings the word "ridiculous" whole new meaning. There are two VC-25s in the fleet, and both of them fly whenever the president goes anywhere. There's absolutely no way that aircraft was authorized to fly that mission without approval from the White House.

Besides -- Obama jumped right on the pirate issue and took credit for the decision to take those guys down. So he'll take credit for three pirates adrift in a rowboat in the Indian Ocean, but not for his personal aircraft over New York City?

Oh, yeah...the pirate thing was good press, so he owned that. But Scare Force One was bad press, so he had to throw someone under the bus.

A carefull reading of your posts Expatriate reveals that you've broadened the blame from one person to any one of a few hundred. Maybe find something more important to occupy your mind, like secession. One has to wonder if your ideas are gleaned from the daily talking points of Fox and the AM radio. Often they seem to hit on the same thing hundreds of times a day, and then I hear it from you. The rest of the country is about flu, credit card default, Specter, or any number of issues. How about the budget that passed yesterday with zero Republican votes? Nope, better talk about an airplane, 9/11 9/11 9/11 .

Might want to try again, Pogo. You forgot to include anything of substance in that one, and all I heard was desperation.
