I have several pics of deer from Ohio on my game cams. This is one of the worst. It appears their hair is missing in big patches. All the deer are like this with the exception of fawns. What is it? thanks.
I tried googling hairless deer but didn't find anything. I would say the deer are simply losing thier summer coats based on your statement that they all look that way. I would suggest calling the Ohio DNR to see what they say. I had some trail cam shots with deer having patches of missing hair - I chalked it up to insect bites and them rubbing the area bare. Let us know if you find anything out.
One of the most important pieces of equipment that you will take hunting is a good quality pair of optics and they take some care to give you the performance that you want. So here are a few tips.
Use some alcohol and cheese cloth to clean the lenses. I will usually pick up an extra cleaning kit from my optician when I have my eyes examined.
Don't touch the lens with your fingers. If there is a stick or a bug on them blow it off.
Use the lens covers. They are there...
