I sold an M1 Garand that I know I should have kept but I had other guns on my mind and needed more cash. The garand went for way under market value for a quick sale. Brick Wall,) Brick Wall,) Brick Wall,)

Pre 1945 colt woodsman. I realy didnt sell it, but I have to say I was talking about traiding and my son thought he would help out so he traided for a 270.
all I could think of was I had 3 30-06s in the cabinet. I couldent even look at the gun so I did trade it for a saddle. those are the only 2 I ever let get away.

I know expatriate and to boot all numbers matched except it was rebarrelled in 1953. Even the stock (although scarred) matched to the rifle with marking on the stock. Even worse(yeah it gets better), I never shot the rifle even once. Oops! Brick Wall,) sad

They went with the rifle! Oops! Laugh

I have about 30 rifles/shotguns/handguns and I hate owning something that I don't use. That rifle was a piece of history and it wasn't being fully appreciated sitting in my gun safe. I got it for a song and dance (traded and old 742 Rem for it straight up) so it wasn't ever an investment piece. I made plenty off of it and purchased firearms that I will use. Not a bad decsiion at the time but I still wish I had it now. Besides, Canada was/is threatening to change the classification of the rifle from non-restricted to prohibited because of the 8 round clips and if that happened the gun would be confiscated and chopped up. Brick Wall,) Brick Wall,) I sold it to a collector that had prohib status and will be able to save it.
