I ve been reading through these posts on this thread and am not sure which way I lean . For one the point was was made if you agree or not with those protesters. The second thing I will say is that if you did march on washington the Obama administration would rather see the americans shot down then the Talibon. The US Marine spokesman already stated this week that this administration already made a tough job tougher by restricting their intorrogation of prisoners caught have to be turned over in 72 hours not giving enough time to get any info out of them. One other point is that you will just vote them out of office is a joke. Here in the northeast [Im in south jersey ] they had 1000s of votes regestered in pa before the polls opened on the philadelphia polling machines. I cant even know how legit the elections in a currupt stste like mine is anymore. Hey this thing is going to get worse before it gets better.

What's even more disturbing to me these days is that quoting a statement from a founding father patriot seems to lable you as a terrorist, anarchist, or someone outside the mainstream, by todays socialist minded people. I think it sad that anyone should get wrongly branded or misunderstood when holding a sign that reads a statement from one of our original patriots and founding fathers.

Only the media can take such a truthful and well meaning statement and turn it around to make someone appear terrible to the American public. Shame on you Chris Matthews, you sleezy journalist!!

Then you'd better start figuring out which way you lean. The information is out there. A politicians actions and stances speaks volumes. Figure it out. Take a side. I won't try and persued you to one side or the other. But you do have to pick based on what you truely believe.

Two things. First I think that the vast majority on this site are on the same side. We simply have a problem here deciding what to do about it.

Next thing, ".....statement from or founding father partiot seems to lable you terrorist....". Probably very true but you are in good company. I strongly suspect that all the founding father's were viewed as terrorist by the British! And I also suspect that there were difference's of opinion in the way they went about thing's but they did stay together.

Don,
I speak from personal experience. Even quoting a passage from the Declaration of Independence once got me ridiculed harshly by a collage prefessor who had once worked in law enforcement. It was the part that has to do with a tyrannical government and the peoples duty to overthrow that government and install a new one in it's place. He told me that making statements like that wil land me on a FBI watch list someday. I asked him if he doubted the validity of the founding fathers, their documents, and the method in which we became an independent and free country? And how all that played into how he once enforced the laws of a country that was founded as such? I went on to say that never should we ever allow an American citizen to be villified or demondatized for upholding what the founding fathers put in place for us. I further asked him to justify and explain how anyone when quoting from the Declaration of Indepndence in this country can run the risk or danger of being put on an FBI watch list. He had nothing to say, the other students who agreed voiced it, those who didn't never said anything in contest.

This was 18 years ago. Even then flying an American Flag would sometimes get you labled as a wierdo. Have the American People become that Un-American so much so to wrongly lable people who quote from the founding fathers and ridicule those who fly the American Flag?? It scarry when other so-called Americans want to villify you for that!!

Hey western hunter I have no doubts which way I am leaning . I meant I wasnt sure if the guns were a smart thing to bring to a protest. I come from a military family and flat out cant stand the current administration . I am not leaning but standing firmly with both feet . I also beleive it to be time to ammo up because the way things are goingI beleive we are heading for a revolution. When our president is for letting terrorists go but prosecuting our CIA , taking from hard working americans to support people to lazy to work. I work shoeing horses 6 and 7 days a week and I come home for lunch and everyday 2 blocks away the guy with an escalade is drinking beer and playing football with all his friends while they get checks from hud to pay their rent everymonth. I work the extra days so I can afford to take my wife and 3 year old son places not to support some lazy bum that figured out how to work the system . Cash for clunkers it takes a genuis to figure out if you are giving money away people will come . Stimulating the economy what a joke . We have never had a more clueless and dishonest president . angry

Tony's post perfectly juxtaposes the two Americas. One is the hard working guy and the other is the guy living off the public dole. It got me to thinking and here is what popped in my head.

Is it time for America to come together or is it time for us to scrap the idea of getting along sing kumbaya? I mean should we be accepting of the people sucking off the government teat, treating them as fellow Americans and as equals or should we say, no, you're not like me, the guy who works hard to put food on his family's plate and I have no respect for you. In fact, I will work hard to stop my hard earned dollars from going to you?

If we don't like the America we live in then we have to be active in supporting candidates that think like we do and voting out the ones that don't.

People getting mobilized and voting got us where we are today and it is the game plan for getting us out of this mess.

I think this is getting off the subject.

WH, your right. I can't mstand a cop that would say that nor can I stand a teacher like that. We should not be afraid to say anything in the Declaration of Independence.

CVC, I don't think you quoted that quite right. Doesn't it say that we have an obligation to change the government? Either way the government must be changed. But it has spread welfare so far and wide I doubt it will be done anytime soon. Another thing is I'm not sure any representative cares if he/she get's a second term. My understanding is that they get full pay for like and full benifits for life after the first term. Pototics is far to lucrative! And anyone that does go into it with good intentions will recieve their lesson their first term. With welfare and pork barrel spread out the way it is, I'm not sure we can change it.

Did any of yuo know that voting was origionally a right only of land owners? Imagine if it were that way now. A number of years ago I polled the peopl,e where my wife worked to see what they knew about what canidates were running for what office. It was a real embarrassement to know that these people even had a right to vote. So goes America.
