Laugh
Funny but not surprising. I understand the NRA has been flooded with new members as well. The Clinton administration did more in it's day for gun ownership and NRA membership than any before or since and I can only believe the next will break all records. Ironic isn't it?

I think its frightening. If Obama has his way, the damage could be severe not only to our economy but also the wildlife we value.

"...vast majority of funding for wildlife agencies at the federal, state and local levels and that money comes directly from the tax levied against gun owners..."

Again I think it's ironic that most people don't understand that more money for wildlife is generated through Pittman-Robertson and tags and license fees than PETA, Sierra club and all the rest of the nature Nazis combined. Yet they're the ones that supposedly love wildlife. We're just the ones that foot the bill.

I notice that two of the prominent advertisers of Outdoor Wire where Mr. Shepard writes are two of the largest firarms manufacturers in the USA.

Often when I look for the reasons for things I ask myself one question. Who benefits? Barak Obama? Firearms manufacturers?

Slightly off topic but I'd hardly worry about him ruining the economy, that's like saying he might sink the Titanic or something.

But I've learned not to scoff these Henny Penny predictions too much. Heck I remember 8 years ago folks were saying that Shrub was going to allow terrorists to kill thousands of Americans, start a war that killed thousands, shred the Consitution, and loot the Treasury and give it to his corprate buddies on the way out the door and look what happened. Better buy a coupla guns.

And you expected what in an outdoor publication devoted to hunting, shooting and fishing? Femenine hygien adds? Duh!! Here you go again trying to find an evil conspiracy to everything. I just got my new issue of wine styles magazine today. Spooky how all the advertisers are purveyors of evil alcoholic beverages. It must be a right wing conspiracy to get us all drunk. Seeing as how there's no malt liquor adds it must be racist too!

Of course gun makers are going to benefit in the short run. But you can bet they would trade a few short term profits for the piece of mind that would come with a pro gun president. I think you've been listening to too many Beetles albums backwards. It's affected your brain. There is no hidden conspiracy here. The illuminati aren't knocking on your door. And he says were the ones with the tinfoil ball caps! Laugh

Good to have you back! Big smile
