Gun deer 2010 doe

Me and my dad went walking around the property I was hunting at noon to try and find a stand so we split up.  My dad called me and said I see 7 deer coming your way over the hill.  I say ok bye look up and theres a deer's head about 70 yards away.  So I get up and shoot at that deer two times.  But miss because I use a 20 Gauge without a rifled barrel.  So that was the end of my noon hunt.

That night I went out at 3 - dark.  I saw two does a couple hundred yards away around 4pm but that was all I saw so 5 minutes to dark I unload and lower my gun.  I look up and theres a doe standing 50 yards away from me walking towards me on the trail so I start hauling my gun back up twice she looked at me and I froze but she would just keep walking.  Once I got my gun up I put one in the chamber got up and shot.  She dropped after 50 yards of running.

Way to go Bugs! Man, in

Way to go Bugs!

Man, in Wisconsin, you can be a hero real quick on a giant buck - you guys have some real show stoppers up there.

I have a guy I work with and he sends me photos all the time of some really big whitetails that are taken there.

I am not sure how widely the state varies as it relates to deer density and big buck populations - I am not even really sure what location in the state my buddy is from - but my suspicion is that then entire state has some great bucks.

Good luck and I hope you keep hunting and get a giant one.

Great work on the doe!
