Groups breaking up?

Anyone in the SW part of the county start scouting yet? I am headed out this weekend, and I expect to see some groups of 40-50 birds.

However, with the season less than 4 weeks away, i fully expect that they will break up very soon.

Anyone made it out yet and seen any activity?

50 birds?

Holy crap - I doubt there are 50 turkeys in my TOWN let alone in one group.  Count your blessings my friend.  Count your blessings!

Let me see if i can link one

Let me see if i can link one of my videos off of Photobucket.  Let me know if it works.

This one is a smaller group that was 30 feet off the road.  I am sitting in my vehicle filming this.  I wish I could find the one of my 4 year old son and I with 50 or so all around us, crossing the road.  My son is "talking" to them with his push button call.

We were out last weekend.

My son and I drew Arizona 3C Turkey Tags.  We saw groups of 3 to 5 in 4 different locations we plan to hunt.  I think the biggest group we've ever seen come off a roost in Arizona was 8 birds.

The only time I have ever seen 40 to 50 birds together was in Roseburg, Oregon (Rio Grande's) and Western New York (Eastern's).

Your video worked grea t for

Your video worked grea t for me, Looks good. I've only seen 20-50 birds down in sounthern oreon as well as eastern oregon. I wish fall turkeyseason and deer/elk seasons were at the same time, I could have shot many birds by now, I always see them over there. I think I might get out this spring, I might have some private land to hunt(owned by a friend) down near Roseberg. Good luck CA_ hope you will drop a big beared bird. Are you using a shot gun or a bow?

Like I said, it's not all the

Like I said, it's not all the time we see flocks like that.  It's just in the spring, sort of pre-mating.  however, they do alot of showing.

I will load that one up tonight of my son and I being surrounded by birds on the road, and both sides.  As I said before, it's mostly private land there, even in front lawns, but still really cool to see.

They're not dumb birds when choosing where to hang out, that's for sure. lol
