Never heard of Green River

Never heard of Green River Barrels.  Green Mtn Barrels are a very popular aftermarket barrel for muzzblasters.

me too

I had the exact same thought as ADKBear.

I've never heard of Green River barrels, but Green Mountain barrels are very good and I highly recommend them.

A Green Mountain barrel came standard on my Knight Wolverine and it is teh most accurate muzzle loader I have ever fired.

I built a Green River .54 cal Hawken rifle back in the early '70s.  It was a kit, and was an exact replica of the original Hawken rifles.  The side of the lock even has "J & S Hawken" cast in it.

Back then, I assumed the barrel was made somewhere in Utah, but I never knew for sure.

The original Green River barrels were made by Bill Large.  These are not the same as Green Mountain barrels.

There is no "Kalisbow, Montana" however there used to be a gun maker in Kalispell, Montana named Les Bauska (?) that did a couple of rifles for me in the late '70s.

I had a friend that had a rifle he built with a green river barrel in the early 80's, I believe he built this in the mid 70's it was percussion, and I believe 62 cal. very accurate
