On a recent fishing trip I caught my biggest fish ever. It was a 30 pound catfish. It took 15 minutes to bring him in. My grandson aslo caught his first fish ever. It was a large mouth bass. Here are the pics.
I have never caught a catfish bigger than about 2 pounds so that one's huge for me. Great job. Congratulations for your grandson as well and it's great you got a picture of it. My grandson is only 2 and I'll be taking him out for the first time in my boat Wednesday. I plan to hook him up with a fish but I'm not sure how well he'll do as that's still a little young. I know he will definately be excited about it though. Times like this are the greatest.
Others have offered up a sighting of roughly 2 inches high at 100 yards as a good sighting scheme. In my own experience I have come to favor a sighting of 3.5 inches high at 100 yards. This allows for the individual to hold dead-on (directly in the middle of the top and bottom) the animal out to roughly 350 yards.
