We offer Gould’s turkey hunts on a previously un-hunted ranch in the high sierras of Chihuahua, Mexico. This large 17,000-acre ranch is located on a high mesa with the elevation varying from 6500’-7000’ in mixed conifer forest. This diverse habitat offers excellent turkey habitat throughout the gentle terrain of the entire ranch. Also located on the ranch are 30+ water sources, an extensive road system, and a comfortable ranch house making the hunting and camping conditions both enjoyable and successful.
We hold exclusive hunting rights to the ranch and manages the turkey population and harvest to maintain a good huntable Gould’s turkey population to make your hunt a success. Due to the bird’s vocal nature during the breeding season, get ready for an exciting hunt.
Hunters will stay in a comfortable ranch house with electricity, a hot shower, and will sleep on either beds or cots. All food and drinks (except alcohol) will be provided, along with transportation from Hereford or Tucson, Arizona, firearms or firearm permits, 2-ATV’s, and American guides. Each experienced American guide will assist two hunters in the field, with the ranch cowboys also provide the assistance during the hunts. The outfitter will prepare your trophy for transport out of Mexico. A camp cook will prepare the meals, which will include steak, chicken, ribs, carne asada, bacon, sausage, chorizo, eggs, and don’t forget the beans and tortillas. Oh yeah, and they will be deep-frying the turkeys in camp. (The U.S. Dept. of Agriculture does not allow uncooked Wild Turkey meat to be transported into the United States). Dutch oven deserts and homemade ice cream will add a finishing touch to a great dinner.
