My regular season doe tag was a bust as I had one day to go and that day we had hurricane force winds. Really was a drag. Me and my pa headed out yesterday at noon got to our area by 3:00 and immediatelly got on a huge herd of a few hundred. Couldn't get into rifle range though and as we walked back to the truck I spotted a different huge herd which we put a stalk on and we both were able to fill our tags. I used the 7mm Mag again and he used his 270 Ackley Improved Marlin XL7. They both did the job on 300 yard shots.
