Got it done

My regular season doe tag was a bust as I had one day to go and that day we had hurricane force winds. Really was a drag. Me and my pa headed out yesterday at noon got to our area by 3:00 and immediatelly got on a huge herd of a few hundred. Couldn't get into rifle range though and as we walked back to the truck I spotted a different huge herd which we put a stalk on and we both were able to fill our tags. I used the 7mm Mag again and he used his 270 Ackley Improved Marlin XL7. They both did the job on 300 yard shots.

Congrats

Congrats on you goat. That's one hunt that I want to do soon. I've only seen them from the truck window. Not too many of those roaming around in TN.

Congrats man!!  I too hunted that day during the regular October season when it was hurricane force winds.  It was misery.  Thought about doing the December season too, but passed on it.
