On the Centeral Fly way goose is open until mid Feb for all geese, darks and snows...then we have a snow ggose conservation season that runs for the whole month of march. So we have alot of chances and time to get out there and get it done. My first time out will be Thanksgiving morning...the the boy and I hopefully I can end it quick and get back form a good warm Thanksgiving meal.
Good luck with your Thanksgiving hunt, that would be great especially with your son. I don't waterfowl hunt much but may bet a few more chances this year. Usually we don't go until January though until only the river still has open water to draw them in. At least that's what my friend tells me.
