Good Job Flordia
Got this from a reliable source, so didn't check it.

Sometimes I get burned.

One down.....49 to go!!!
Florida is the first state - Hooray for Florida
H.

Florida is the first state that is now going to require drug testing for welfare! Some people are crying this is unconstitutional. How is this unconstitutional? It's completely legal that every other working person had to pass a drug test in order to have a J-O-B that supports those on welfare!

Forward if you agree!! Let's get Welfare back to the ones who NEED it, not those that WON'T get a JOB.....I AGREE!!!

Hopefully other states will follow suit and pass similar laws. I bet there will be a big fight ahead though before this is over.

Sounds like a good plan to me.  Better to get them out for a job , then having tax payers pay for their illegal habit.

Good Job Florida

Everyone in the military submits to random urinalysis as a condition of being able to draw a paycheck from Uncle Sam.  And they work their butts off and put a lot on the line for that check.   Good enough for the troops, good enough for welfare recipients.  If I'm giving up some of my paycheck to help someone out, I'd like to think that they're at least making an effort to help themselves.  If they don't think it's fair, I'd argue that it's not fair to take money away from my kids in order to finance someone else's drug habit.

  That is GREAT news!     So

That is GREAT news!   Applause   So if one state has the ability (and part of the male anatomy) to do it then so should 49 other states.  Great law.  Yes, I am certain it will be tested in the courts.  I hope it gets full legal backing as well as that will pave the way for other states.  Good for Florida!  Who's next?!?!

Well... it appears a judge

Well... it appears a judge has ruled it's unconstitutional to make recipients of welfare submit to drug tests. I find that unbelievable. Law abiding citizens that WORK have to submit to random drug tests!

That's what happens when you start referring to these things as "entitlements."

The article stated that the plaintiff said he is "happy that the judge stood up for me and my rights......."   What rights?  Where is it stated that he has a "right" to welfare benefits? There is no state law that forces you to apply for benefits whenever such and such or such happens, you do so voluntarily so how is this a 4th amendment violation? I am dumbfounded. We hired Gov Scott to stop this nonsense and now some federal judge is trying to stop it. Someone show me where it is in the constitution that there is a right granted by our creator that guarantees us welfare payments. Show me where it is written in the Florida constitution that we are entitled to welfare payments.

Show me and I'll be behind this guy 100%.

I've never been able to figure out why someone's idleness grants them more "right" to a dollar than the person who worked to earn it.  It's the old ant and grasshopper fable...and we're being overrun by grasshoppers.
