A doe MD is an abbreviation for doe mule deer, and huns are upland birds. Both are native to Montana & many western states. You'll typically find huns in the same grassy areas as pheasants, chukar and sage grouse.

Mule deer are common in the western states, its unlikely you'll see them in MO.

I feel really stupid that I didnt put that together, I know what a mule deer is and I really want to hunt them sometime. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

Don't feel stupid. Just ask, that's what we're here for.

Mule deer are awesome to hunt. Their traits are completely different from whitetail.
