I had a lovely day in the woods. I had made up my mind to hold out for a big buck or recover a wounded deer that I suspected was in the area. Of course this was the day when I had 10 does within 75 yards over the course of a couple hours. One was within 10 yards for 30 minutes and never knew I was there. I hunt on the ground so its not like she was below my tree stand. That was pretty cool.
I count that as a good day in the woods 
That sure does sound like a good day afield to me! I've always enjoyed simply watching deer and I hope I never do tire of that. Of course if it's a big buck I get to watch, I don't mind that a bit either! 
Maybe I'm getting a bit old here, but there are some days in the woods I enjoy so much I end up being kinda glad there was no gutting and dragging to do at the end of it...LOL

Now that seems a bit extreme to me! lol.
I'm glad to see deer, but MORE glad to take one
Any day in the field is a grat day, especially if you are seeing deer!
