Good .308 scope and 12 gauge slug scope ?

What is a good .308 win scope that can give a good shot out to 350+ yards ? What is a good 12 gauge slug scope that can see good at 250 yards at the most ?

For the 308 I would look into

For the 308 I would look into a variable power scope such as a Leupold 3-9x40 VXII or VXIII, also Vortex makes a fine scope for the money.  For the 12 ga I would stick with a fix power 2.5x or 4x and forget taking a shot at 250 yards with it, in my book a 12 ga slug gun is a 100-150 yard gun at most.

For me

In my experience, shots are normally shorter, rather than longer in distance. I have one stand I use that has a view at 350+ yards. I feel comfortable looking at a deer at that range with a 7X scope. On the flip side, I'd way rather have a 2X then a 4X scope when a bucks busts out at 25 yards. That, my friends is why I really like a 2-7 scope. I probably have 15 of them in my dozens of big game rifles. They just work, for most anything!

My first 308 was a

My first 308 was a Parker-Hale 1200. it wore a 4x scope. Worked well. my next was a rem 660 and it had a 2 3/4x. My all time favorite scope for hunting. My present 308, a Rem 788 has a 1-4x on it. I keep it set on 3x. If your really think you need more than 4x, I'd go with the 2-7x. If your really thinking of shooting at animals at 350+ yds, I'd rethink the cartridge. While the 308 may work well, I have never in 50 yrs hunting found the need to shoot at a game animal at anywhere near 350 yds. The only shot ever necessary to take is at a charging dangerous game animal that is charging you or an enemy combatant set on killing you. All other shots are by choice.
