This Friday I am taking my 4yr old son out to the woods to do some scouting for the rifle season. This will be his first of many trips out to the woods. He has been pleading with me to take him hunting this year saying he could find the deer and I could shoot them 
Told the wife give him a couple of more years and I will have a great hunting buddy. 
Sad to say though he sound better with my grunter than I do 
If I could get him to sit still and be quiet I would take him out just to do the callling 
I'll let you know how things go in the woods.

We went to the woods and he had a blast The kid is a natural when it comes to sitting still and being quiet. Just have to get him used to walking through the briars. Pulled out the grunters and were able to see a couple of does 
but no bucks 
Plan on getting out there again after the rifle season. Too close to opening day to be out messing around in the woods.
