I am wondering if anyone is familiar with this "neck of the woods"? I have been through there before but have never hunted for Elk there. I am wondering if any readers have any knowledge of the area and would not mind passing it on.
Not a lot of elk in that country. Mostly just deer. In all the years I have hunted down there I have only seen a handful of elk. I've heard you have to get further west to get into any huntable populations. Good luck.
Deer hunters spend so much time trying to pattern deer that we forget that we also can be "patterned." After all, most of us hunt the same days and the same hours, so it isn't difficult for deer to figure us out.
