I know we have had snow every day last week. But they still are talking their propaganda. I think it was last year al gore was going to speak in new york at a summit on global warming long story short was that it was spring time and they day that he came in for the summit it was the coldest day they have had. But Im sure they will come up with a way to skew this into an effect of global warming.

I went up mid of last week, more or less same thing, lots of snow. Did come across either one cat track twice, or two different cats, was about a 1/8 mile apart.

Looks like either be hunting down below the "mountain House", or waiting till may some time, dont think the snow is leaving anytime soon :(

where i want to hike in will be snow free, but there was people camping at the gate to the road so i didnt go in. there was only bout 6 in of snow half way up the mountain i wanna hunt on so i'm gonna be optimistic about the snow being gone where i wanna go. I really wanna go near detroit but that will be later in the season

Global Warming?

Do you guys know the difference in the mean temperature of the Earth now versus the mean temp. during the last ice age? It's less than 5 degrees.
Just humour me and presume that golbal warming as worth your concern. Imagine the loss of habitat and species numbers that will go along with it. What are you going to hunt then?
Besides, global warming will most likely lead to a COLDER planet. We've got to entertain the thought that we might be screwing this place up. So what if we're wrong. If we're right and we do nothing...I hope you don't have kids or grandkids.

not to try and pick a fight scott but they have only been able to research accurately back to the early 1900's for temp. Also they have also proven that the earth does go through warming and cooling trends and most of those studies show that we are well within the normal ranges. But what it really comes down to is whether you just watch the news and believe everything the main stream media and al gore tells you or if you do your own digging and find out for yourself. If you choose the media its all doom and gloom. I think that we should take care of our envirnment but some of this stuff is going way overboard. Im sure if Al Gore took his message to places that actually are doing the majority of the polluting(such as russia, china the list goes on)you would hear a lot less of him. But the fact of the matter is that he isnt willing to put himself in that position. But thats what makes our country great, for now anyways. Sorry for the rant.
