Holy Moly!!!!! I grew up in Vermont, on the Canadien border. We used to go for drives in the spring and fall around the massive corn fields up in Quebec, to see the thousands and thousands of geese up there.
However, it has been 30 years, and I have never seen a display like I saw a couple of days ago in Nebraska. We had seen a few Canada geese, maybe a flock as big as 50 or so, during the week. Then, Sunday morning, it was a sight to behold.
Without exaggeration, it was horizon to horizon, lasting a good 5-7 minutes, of snow geese. Flock after flock after flock, spread from my left to my right, and they just kept coming over our heads. My 4 year old really got a kick out of it. I would like to have seen where they were scared up from, or where they were headed to.
Now I can see why some states have gone up to 20-30 snow geese limits, and some places even unlimited. Geez.
