Gallup 6/11/09 4 out of 10 Republicans don't like party

Remember, there's probably a place for you over at the big tent party, or you could form a third. The Rational Republican Party?

Interesting...a 60 percent approval rating for Obama constitutes solid endorsement, but a 60 percent approval for Republicans indicates disarray.

Nevertheless, it's apparent that the Republican party is trying to find its identity and is torn between people who want to pull it one way or another. It'll be interesting to see which way it goes.

Uhm... Don't know how to break this to you jrsimplot but ... uhm... the 60% approval of Republicans is amongst themselves, where as Barak's 60% approval is amongst the entire population, and not part of thie poll.

And ya, when forty percent of your party looks at itself disaprovingly, ,, it's in disarray.

Actual #s are 58 approve 38 disapprove

comparable Democrat #s are 89/7

I'd suggest read first, then comment.

Looks as if you are having a hard time hiding your party affiliation even with a sock puppett.

Man, situational math is so confusing!

6 out of 10 Republicans support the party = party in disarray.

6 out of 10 Americans support Obama = America solidly behind Obama.

6 out of 10 Americans oppose government ownership of GM = ??

Uhhh...what do I do? Which methodology do I use? Does America support nationalizing GM or not? All the stats courses I took said to be consistent, but pogo math says otherwise.

au contraire

60% is 60%

Have a link by the way for those GM stats? Not that I think you'd ever make things up, I just like to see how the question was phrased. Fox says the numbers are 52/44. Market to decide/save the company.

I'll go slow for you this time Expatriate so you can follow.

58% of self identified or leaning Republicans approve of the Republican party, 38% disaprove. One would think that people would like their own pary! or else why stay? and they aren't.

To contrast that you use how Democrats view thier party. 89% approve 7% disapprove.

62% of all people in the United States approve of Obama, that includes Republicans, Constitution Party members, the KKK, Democrats, AIP, everyone, for a sitting president these are very high numbers.

Perhaps it would be simpler if you just kept the discussion to the Gallup Poll, which polled party approval. Much less chance of you getting confused.

Instead of comparing apples to oranges why not compare apples? and provide a link for all numbers.
