Sorry about that, It is a very unusual peice of wood. Its flamed boxelder burl but its "curly" or tiger stripped on top and bottom. Something very rare as I have seen no other burl that was also curly on the sides. it must have been quater sawn or something. I did my typical 1200 grit oil finish
