First Bird of the Season

After taking my son on Sat. morning and only seeing 1 hen I decided to give it a try this morning. Only one problem my son decided 4 am was a little early, so I went out on my own. He is really wishing he went. Had gobblers roosted just 50 yds. away and with the help of a couple live decoys I was able to lure him into range.
By the way Hat, that Supreme pot call was the trick. He held back for about an hour before I gave him some purrs and clucks with that call. I swear that call works better than any call I've ever tried. I believe if a person were to spend the extra money on that one call it would be all you needed, and you would save a ton of money on all the other calls

NIce bird, congrats. I am still trying to fill my tag here in S.W. Idaho. I've only had a chance to get out twice so far with no luck. I saw plenty of birds while scouting, but now that the season has opened things have changed. I'll keep at it and hopefully I will get my first Turkey soon.

Sorry RR somehow I missed this one. Congrats on another great bird!

I have come to the same conclusion, I could have saved a pile of dough if I would have just bought a Supreme double suicide the first time I purchased a pot call. They are super calls. I am pretty fond of the pure death in pinnacle myself. Its as high dollar as pots calls go but it works everywhere I carry it, its totally water and insect reprellant proof and is basically indestructable.

I've been thinking about buying a new one from Supreme. I may check out the pure death I didn't get the one for the grad present so I will probably spend the money on myself
