Finally Getting Out

Well it has been a long wait but finally it is time to get out and go hunting. As soon as my wife gets home from work we are headed to our unit (27/181) today. Have not hunted this unit as we had to get left over tags due to being in Iraq and not even knowing if I would be home in time to hunt. That being said it will be a good time regardless just getting out in the hills hunting. Will also be hooking up tomorrow with our oldest son who I have not yet seen after getting home so that will be great too. Good luck to all going third season and hope I have a few good stories once the hunt is over.

Obviously it's too late to

Obviously it's too late to wish you good luck as I somehow missed your post earlier but I hope you have a great and successful hunt. There are still a few days left in the season so hopefully your still after them. I'm sure if you had gotten home we would have heard by now. Looking forward to some pictures and stories on how it went for you out there. I'm sure it's great no matter what the outcome.

Thanks to all but the deer

Thanks to all but the deer and elk gods did not shine down on us. Lots of very crunchy snow and very few aninmals in the area. I will be posting a story here soon to fill you in on all the details. Hope others had better luck than we did but it was still a good time with family.
