Final answer on caliber selection?

Ok I am headed to Wy in 2 weeks (unit 30 bigsbie ranch) and want to make a final gun selection. I was planning on taking my Win Mdl70 in .243. The gun shoots the winchester 95 grain ballistic silver well. The federal 100 grain nosler partitions shoot good but not as tight as the winchester.

The other choice is my .308 mdl 70. I have a 300 winmag but do not have time to spend at the range with it. I have with the other guns.

Help a brother out. First antelope hunt and just want to be sure about equipment.

Thanks

Travis

I took one last year with my .243. Yours will work fine. The .308 is good too. The .300 winmag is overkill.

I'd go with the one you shoot the best.

Take the rifle your most comfortable with, I personally go for larger cal for goats, same as i do deer, becuase i want a goat to drop and drop fast not run half mile and get all pumped up. Even a hard clean vital hit will let them run aways. Id rather a terminal shot be larger hole then smaller.

Take what you shoot best. I've killed em with all those calibers and the 7 mag. The 243 is just about perfect for em.
