Ain't that how it always happens Mike????  Too bad you didn't see one today and get some more meat in the freezer.

There's always next year.

It has always been pretty funny to me how often I'll see does when buck hunting and how when I finally turn my attention to harvesting a doe at season's end, it sometimes doesn't happen. It is also funny how deer sighting change from day to day or week to week. But then again, you simply have to remember the old adage "that's why it's called hunting, not killing!" 

That's usually the way it works out for us too. If we go out to dow hunt, then we usually see all bucks and vice versa. That's why, this last week, i'm going out with the thought of just killing a couple more deer. I have until next Saturday to get a couple more deer so I don't want to jinx myself. Maybe I just did, we'll see. If I see a deer, I'll be pulling the trigger.
