Featured Articles & saving

Moderator or ?,
There are some very good articles published my the moderator of BGH that I would occasionally like to save or print. I know that I can "book-mark" these articles, but after awhile together with everything else on the net, the number just gets huge. I was wondering if BGH could have a "printer friendly" button to click for this, or an easy way to save as a file in my documents on the PC?
Perhaps there already is and it's me (I'm no PC expert), and I need some help here.....or..
Is this an idea that others would like as well if possible? Think
Thanks.

Others may have a better way to save articles, but, this is the way I do it. You can do a search for Cutepdf. It is free download. The program emulates a printer so when you "print" an article, it creates a pdf file that is readable by Adobe Reader (another free download). After you have installed Cutepdf, you print the article using the file, print command. A dialogue box should open. At the top you should see which printer the computer will print to. To the right of the printer name, there is a little arrow pointing down. If you click on this, you should see the printer options. Select cutepdf then print. Another dialogue box should open and ask you for the name of the file. Type in whatever name you want. This saves a document on you computer.

I'm not sure what it would take to add a "print version" button to the BGH articles. We'll look into it.

Haiku_rodney's suggestion is a good one. We use Adobe Acrobat and have created files from other types of documents, but have not tried with a webpage. I'm guessing it should work well.

This might be a bit more cumbersome, but you can always highlight all the text, copy and paste into a word document, then save to your hard drive.

When bookmarking, you could create a separate folder just for articles. You can even subdivide that folder further into separate topics; ie. whitetail, elk, etc. Then when you bookmark a new article, simply file in the proper place. That's the only way I can manage the large volume of bookmarks I have on my PC.

Hey, thanks for the suggestions all.
I have noticed at some websites they have what they called "printer freindly" versions, and/or a save button is all. Sometimes on articles elsewhere, I can right click on an article or story and I get an option to "save as" too, but not with BGH articles.
Setting up a favorites folder is good too, I will look into how to do that. I don't know why, but sometimes Word gives me problems trying to make things look right and I get frustrated.
If I do the bookmark thing, will the articles always be there. I know sometimes things I have marked before get moved or disappear...????
I have Adobe Acrobat, and should look for that software as well.
Thanks again.
