fang on a deer

I found this fang while skinning out a deer skull for a friends european mount. This is not unheard of but is relatively rare.

It's a canine tooth like we have in our mouths. I've seen these in a magazine before they are rare but not extremely rare.

This can't be for real can it? I think that if they were coming up from the bottom it would be more plausable.

The original pic is not the same as the one above. The original had an incisor(canine) tooth in the skull. The pic above isn't a native american deer.

Look up Musk Deer. I believe they are a Russian deer.
