You are lucky those things did not find your key hidden in the gas tank door. They would have taken off with your truck for sure. Murphy's law is definitely in full force in hunting. If you have a tag for an animal than you are going to have to work your butt off to get a glimpse of it. If you do not have a tag for a specific species than you are guaranteed to see multiple individuals of that species. You will not get many looks at a species that you have a tag for during the season but when that season ends, you are guaranteed to see hundreds of your target species. That is just the way it works I guess. It keeps us guessing and keeps us on our toes.

yes, mr. murphy likes to mess with hunters too.  he knows what tags you have in your pocket and keeps those animals away while making sure other normally elusive animals stand broadside in your path taunting you to shoot them all the while knowing you can't since you don't have a tag.

I suppose Mr. murphy keeps us honest and makes it fun.
