Extra large back straps

Not sure if photo shopped or even true but thought you might enjoy.
440-lb. deer shot in NW Ont. WHAT A PORKER!

Although not confirmed, this is probably a world record whitetail deer....
supposedly shot this fall in northwestern Ontario and weighing 440 lbs.
before being field dressed.

it's been circulating for some time now .....actually shot at a high fence operation in Wisconsin. I think they're called wilderness whitetails...their website shows all kinds of ungodly looking "livestock" that can be purchased/shot.

I feel you may be right about that. I went to there web site and I believe they are messing with these poor guys a bit to much I feel 164 and 168 and larger at 1 year old and Sudden Impact was 281 at 1 year and 406 at 2 years, thats insane and not surprised he died at 3 years. Some look like they need more weight in there rear and some look as wide as elk.
Here's a link to there site.

Yeah I actually watched "sudden impact" grow last year on a website....until he died anyway. Definitely some huge deer and from what I've been told through a trustworthy source they don't "juice" their deer or anything. Apparently genetics, quality feed, and zero stress is all that is required for these deer to put on some serious inches. I like looking at huge whitetails, but it saddens me that they are captive and when they are barely capable of lifting their head there is obviously a problem. To each their own I guess, there are people willing to pay to hunt inside the enclosures, and as long as there is demand there will be a supply of them.

Re: Extra large back straps

It's amazing to me what some outfits and operations will do under the name of conservation. This is nothing more than genetically mutating a species. One day we are all going to regret this mutation. All just for a trophy eh? No thanks, that's not my idea of hunting! I'm stricktly a meat hunter and never aspire to hunt for a trophy. I prefere to hunt genuine wild deer and eat venison that's genuinely organic. If I wanted to purchase a deer to shoot I'd rather just domesticate and grow them like cattle instead. I guess that outfit hasn't figured out what hunting really is. Anyone who wants to know should come out west to the Rocky Mountains to see what it's all about.
