Experienced BP hunter wants to upgrade

I have been black powder hunting for 33 years, and my "newest" gun is probably 10 years old. It's a Knight Wolverine that I converted to 209. The problem is the cleaning of this type gun. I hate having to remove the trigger group to clean it, and then the spring tension makes it almost a 2-person operation re-assembling. It's time for me to think about next year, so I'd like opinions on a simple, accurate BP gun(in-line) that has a good trigger-pull and cleans easily. I use pyrodex pellets. Thought about a Wolf, but may be willing to spend a little more. Thanks.........

CVA Accura. You can get them for around $318 shipped from http://www.budsgunshop.com

These are top of the line and have amazing triggers on them! Preset at 2lbs.

CVA Wolf 209 or Traditions YUKON are also good choices.

i read ur posting and noticed 2 things that are important to you ..

[1] maintenance and [2] trigger pull ...

for maintenance may i suggest a BREAK OPEN action ,of your choice ..

[2] trigger pull ..not a TRADITION i had 3 of them and the trigger is HORRIBLE

did u ever try T 7 powder ..no smell ..easy to clean [with soap and water]

have u tried a T/C TRIUMPH ..

Thank you ALL for the posts!

I will probably go with a break-open model of some sorts. I'm sure that I'll be buying one of the brands mentioned above.... Now that the seasons are over around here, it should be "deal time".........Thanks Again!! Thumbs up
