Like everyone else said pretty much your an idiot! The ecological effects for what you have done are slim but the ethical effects are great. Please shed some more light on your story why didnt you harvest the meat off the other two elk? where are you from? and why didnt you call the DOW? Although im not a game warden I do work for the CDOW and would be more than happy to put you in touch with the proper authorities.

Handy-man

Are you mentally challenged? How the heck do you mistake elk for deer?
The ethical thing would be to report it to the DOW.

By the way thanks... that's why it's so freakin difficult to hunt here.

Read my attached signature... There's more to hunting than just harvesting an animal.

I don't think you do any jail time, mistakes happen... but not 3x.

I hope you're nervous as heck that the authorities will run down your web address, and that you've learned your lesson.

If this is a joke... way to get a bunch of ethical hunters all stirred up. Good one.

This is a troll for sure.

Either an anti fishing for an out-of-context forgiveness from a hunter to be used against him later or possibly some seriously misguided young men.
(BTW - DOW would have posted this on their site already if it were actually true)

The ethical/ecological remifications are that they killed some magnificent animals that they clearly had no respect for.

I agree with everyone. If this is true and I hope it is not this guy is fishing for someone to say "sure the coyotes, birds, pine martins or what ever will bennefit so the guilt he feels will be lifted off his shoulders.....WHAT YOU DID WAS WRONG

Have you noticed... the original poster hasn't responded. Maybe he took everyone's advice and turned himself in and is doing jail time... Think
