elk Rut in new mexico

Can anyone give me some ideas on when the elk rut starts in New Mexico preferably south and southwest of the state around soccoro thanks any info is appreciated

What I have seen is mostly in the southeast but there isn't much difference between east and west here, is that the rut comes in around the middle of September most years.
