Elk Hunters

Hey all,

Name's Josh, I'm 25, lived here for 2 years now going on 3 and I haven't had a chance to get out and elk hunt. I'm from MT where the hunting season is longer and the terrain is familiar but I'd really like to try my chances this year here. I really don't know too much about the area's. If you have a moment and want to break it on down to me I'd appreciate it, here are some of my questions:
1. Good area to hunt?(I'm in Tacoma area so I was thinking Crystal Mtn., Tanem Creek over by Cle Elum, or somewhere around there.
2. Do you all take the week off because of the extremely short season?
3. What's easier to hunt, east or westside?
etc...

Also, if you know of a good site for high traffic use for elk hunting Washington I'd appreciate it.

Thanks for your time and good luck this season!

Josh
