Elk Bullet

I'm going elk hunting for the first time and need some information on what bullet to use. I'm shooting a .300 win mag and right now I have the .180 grain Remington Premier Scirocco Bonded bullet. Can some one tell me if this is a good cartridge to use or if not what is?

Everyone has different ideas about trophy pictures. Looks around and you will see "long armers," "set behinders," "big cheesers," and "blood covered brutes."
