Thanks for the reply critter these western states have so much information. I wason the cdow page and it looked to me like the hunt number was EE02801M and it was a 0 for PP. If I'm missing something please put a light on it.
Sorry about that I was looking at the wrong information. What I would do is put in for the either sex tag for the ML season and as a second choice put in for a cow tag for the ML season. That way if you don't get drawn you should be able to hunt a cow and get to know the area.
Nick, I'm a little confused I went to your bio and read your "big debate". I'm confused, you think it's wrong to eat meat and kill animals for meat but here you are putting in for tags and hunting elk? Mind clarifying?
I drew for a PP this year I am leaning towards unit 15. I am still researching 28 though. I would rather hunt something higher and more open but i will only have 1 PP so ML hunting next year limits my unit choices. Still planning on backpacking in a couple of miles setting a spike camp up. I have three friends two of which have also hunted elk so I am confident in our ability to get everything in/out. Obviously the downer will be is if the area has no elk sign when we get there,but that is the challenge then isn't it.
