Where I hunt in wisconsin the longest shot I would have to take is 40 yards. But the stand that im gonna hunt most of the time will be 20 yards maximum.

I have had a bow in my hand as much as I possibly can for the last 29 years. I practice out to 100 yards. I will not shoot at an elk past 50 yards and deer out to 80.

I practice out to 60 yards
I practice out to 60 yards and limit myself to 40 for Elk and 60 for deer. 90% of shots have come within 30 yards for both.
