so im about to get my hunting safety course done and do some coyote hunting all year and what not until the deer, elk, bear, and maby cougar seasons start. i know that people hunts coyote for their pelts and just to shoot them for live practice for the real thing. my deal is whatever i kill, i eat. hell i even ate my own road kill squirrel before so im very committed to leaving no to little waste of a living creature. so i was wondering has anyone ate coyote or would you rather not eat them??

I don't eat my coyotes and don't know anyone else that does. But, I suppose there is no reason you couldn't eat them if you wanted.
I Googled your question and found there are people like you committed to eating everything they kill. Here is one recipe I found. According to the poster it is quite yummy. Google coyote recipes for more.
2-4 lbs of coyote meat
16 oz of apricot preserves
1 bottle BBQ sauce
1/2 purple onion diced
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Throw it all in a crock pot and let it cook for 8 hours.

haha. that recipe does sound pretty good. i should google up some more recipes like that and what not. my mom and a few others thought i was crazy and all. so what does eveyone else do with them?

I help control them and keep the pelts. They smell so dang bad I don't think I could get myself to eat one, but I'm sure they can be cooked to be real tasty.

as a kid in Az, Ild eat 'em if we killed one while out camping...as a kid ya'll eat anything. I dont rember it tasting bad, (shrugs) anything is passable with enough tobasco sauce

They eat dogs in some countries so coyote is no different but you'll never have to worry about any making it to my plate no matter what it tastes like.

Eating coyote, don't think so. In my neck of the woods even wild meet is tested (deer,moose) periodically and advisories issued if necessary, for example, cook thoroughly because xxx has be detected,etc. With the dog you are on your own.
Why did the pet coyote have a wooden leg ?
With an animal that smart, you don't eat it all at once
